Exciting Masonry Restoration at The Roberson Museum and Science Center

Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture & Preservation is proud to announce its recent award for the masonry restoration project at the Roberson Museum and Science Center.

This significant project involves the meticulous restoration of the historic Roberson Mansion, Carriage House, and the surrounding iron and masonry fence.

The Roberson Museum and Science Center, an iconic early 20th-century Italianate mansion designed by the esteemed architect C. Edward Vosbury, stands as a testament to architectural grandeur and historical significance. The mansion, which was home to Alonzo Roberson Jr. and his wife Margaret until its conversion to an arts center in 1954, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Over the years, the harsh New York winters have taken their toll on the building's brick cladding and wrought-iron fence, necessitating this comprehensive restoration effort.

Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture & Preservation looks forward to collaborating with the Roberson Museum to restore this architectural gem, ensuring it remains a cherished landmark in Binghamton, NY.
