Thaler Reilly Wilson Architecture & Preservation has been awarded the renovation of the historic Glove Theatre project in Gloversville, NY.
This project, funded by the New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI) and Empire State’s Restore New York Program, aims to rejuvenate the beloved Art Deco landmark and enhance its role as a cultural and community hub.
The Glove Theatre, originally opened in 1914 as a vaudeville venue, boasts a rich history and architectural significance. Designed by Linn Kinne and later revamped by renowned theater architect John Eberson in 1938, the theatre has seen both glory and decline. The upcoming renovations are crucial for modernizing the facility while preserving its historical charm.
